In Case You Forgot, There’s A New RoboCop Game Releasing On Xbox Next Week
Can we be honest and admit that we’d totally forgotten RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business was right around the corner?! Yes, this follow-up to 2023’s RoboCop: Rogue City releases for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on July 17th, 2025, and it’s very decently priced if you’re interested in grabbing it on day one.
Contrary to popular belief, this is not DLC for RoboCop: Rogue City – it’s a totally standalone title, although it technically acts as an “extension” to the previous game. In other words, you probably want to play that one first.
“Following RoboCop’s decisive victory over Detroit’s gangs, a new chapter unfolds in this standalone extension set after the events of RoboCop: Rogue City.
The New Guy in Town has been defeated, but the streets are still riddled with crime. A spark of hope comes from OCP’s latest project: OmniTower – a massive housing complex designed specifically to provide for the needs of the residents of Old Detroit. But when a group of highly trained mercenaries armed with cutting-edge weapons takes control of the building and turns it into their deadly fortress, RoboCop must take action to put a stop to their plans and uphold the law.”
You can obviously expect a very similar experience to Rogue City in this “Unfinished Business” sequel, although it also comes with a “deadlier class of criminals”, new weapons including the Cryo Cannon, and the ability to play as both Alex Murphy (aka RoboCop before he was RoboCop) and the Enforcement Droid ED-209.
The fact that Unfinished Business is an “extension” probably explains its very reasonable price on the Xbox Store – £24.99 in the UK, €29.99 in Europe and $29.99 in the US. It’s probably best to think of this as a standalone expansion more than anything – we’re not anticipating a 10+ hour campaign out of it – but that’s fine by us at this price point.
And if you haven’t played the first one yet, now’s the perfect time! RoboCop: Rogue City’s Alex Murphy Edition is reduced to just £5.99 / $6.99 as part of the Xbox Summer Sale, which is exclusive to Xbox Game Pass members this week and will open up to everyone else at some point next week.
