New Battlefield Game Has Reportedly Transitioned From Pre-Alpha To Alpha
Playtesters for the new Battlefield game have revealed that shooter has now reached Alpha stage, with watermarks for the game displaying ‘Alpha’ instead of ‘Battlefield Labs’ and ‘Pre-Alpha.’
Speaking with website Insider-Gaming, Battlefield playtesters revealed that the transition to Alpha phase came after a major update for the project, which also reportedly featured new material and files related to Battlefield Battle Royale. This feature remains unplayable, but it may still be added to the Battlefield Labs experience down the line.
Insider-Gaming was sent images of the Battle Royale mode that showcase two teams of four battling it out in a factory-like setting, although due to a non-disclosure agreement they cannot be posted for public consumption. More images reveal two soldiers rummaging through a hole in the wall to loot weapons, and another screen depicts a four-player team featuring multi-coloured parachutes touching down near some high-rise structures.
