PlayStation Stars Is Coming To An End In November 2026, New Members No Longer Being Accepted
The PlayStation Stars loyalty programme is officially being shuttered on November 2, 2026, Sony Interactive Entertainment as announced.
While the current iteration of the service is going to remain open until that date, Sony confirmed that as of July 23, 2025, players will no longer be able to earn Digital Collectibles, Points and level up their status. However, current members are going to still be able to redeem their points until the closure date providing they donโt expire before then.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Grace Chen, Vice President of Networking Advertising, Loyalty & Licensed Merchandise for Sony, commented:
Since launching the program, weโve learned a lot from evaluating the types of activities our players respond best to, and as a company, we are always evolving with player and industry trends. Through this evaluation, we have decided to refocus our efforts and will be winding down the current version of PlayStation Stars. We will continue to evaluate our key findings from this program, and are looking into ways to build upon these learnings.
Back in October last year, Sony announced that a new update for PlayStation Stars that would see players no longer given credit for spending money on subscriptions.
