Heart Machine Unveils Possessor(s), A New Side-Scrolling Action Game For PS5 Due Out In 2025

Heart Machine and Devolver Digital have announced Possessor(s) for PS5 and PC, a new action-adventure game with a side-scrolling flavour.

Possessor(s) follows Luca, a lonely teenager who grew up in the company town of Sanzu attending the local high school run by a tech company known as Agradye. However, upon waking up in the ruins of Sanzu, Luca finds herself aided only by a powerful and bitter demon, Rhem, who escaped Agradyne’s clutches and agrees to possess Luca to save them both.

Luca is able to wield improvised melee weapons that allow players to dabble with a variety of different combat styles, with everything from kitchen knives to guitars used as makeshift weapons to fend off the demonic hordes. Players can also call upon Rhem’s power in battle to whip foes and drag them to Luca, allowing her to stagger enemies and leave them vulnerable.

Your journey will see you exploring the interconnected districts of Sanzu City, with each area channelling a unique atmosphere and offering unique challenges to tackle. Furthermore, Luca and Rhem will grow stronger.

Possessor(s) is out on PS5 and PC at some point this year.
