Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone Kickstarter Reached Its Funding Goal In Just 4 Days

The crowdfunding campaign for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone has reached its Kickstarter goal in just four days, allowing for stretch goals such as the ability to alternate between a third and first-person perspective during gameplay, as well as bringing over firearms from the original game.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone still has 24 days to go on its Kickstarter, and has at the time of writing raised over £99,000 out of a goal of £80,191. The next stretch goal on the list is to allow for first-person weapon customisations, although the way things are going it looks like it won’t have any problems reaching that goal.

According to the Kickstarter page, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone will take the form of a post-apocalyptic RPG that marries a realistic open-world and the exploration that comes with it with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling. Here’s some more details from the official blurb:

You try to escape the sinister Exclusion Zone and return home, breaking the barriers of time and space and fighting the emanations of the insidious Chernobylite. Cut off from the world, trapped in the Zone, attacked by hordes of nightmare creatures, you must fight for survival and unite the handful of remaining survivors.

The original Chernobylite was developed by The Farm 51 and launched for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in September 2021. You can read our review here. A release date for the sequel has yet to be announced.
