Rebel Wolves’ Debut Title “The Blood Of Dawnwalker” Revealed With An Impressive-Looking Gameplay Tease

When former CD Projekt RED developers, including Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the game director for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, form a new studio, that’s probably a team worth paying attention to.

Rebel Wolves is such a studio, that Tomaszkiewicz and other CDPR vets first announced back in 2022, with plans to work on a next-gen RPG. Just towards the end of last year, we learned that the official title for the studio’s debut project would be The Blood of Dawnwalker, and today the game was finally revealed with its first debut trailer.

Most of the trailer is a cinematic, setting up a bit about the world, and the conflicts at play. We know there’s a plague going around, we know there’s a ruling kingdom that seems to not be very nice to its subjects, killing the sick instead of trying to find a way to treat them, and we know there are vampires.

The trailer description adds a little more narrative detail, saying “You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever trading the line between the world of day and the realm of night.”

“Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes – be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember – the real evil may bask in the sun’s light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.”

At the end of the trailer, we got a small tease towards what the gameplay will look like, with footage that is marked as coming from an alpha build of the game, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an impressive slice. A full gameplay reveal is set for sometime in Summer 2025, which is likely code for Summer Game Fest 2025.
