Atlus Surveys US Players If They’d Play A New Etrian Odyssey Game And If They Want Persona 5: The Phantom X Globally

Surveys from game publishers and studios aren’t always a great indication of what’s actually coming from that publisher or studio, but it at the very least shows what they’re thinking about.

Atlus’s latest North American survey is an example of that. The survey asks for only US participants, which seems to be in part because it wants to get a read on whether or not anyone in its western audience would want to play Persona 5: The Phantom X.

Phantom X is a new Persona game that released on mobile and PC but only in China. This new survey asks fans if they’d care to play it should it be made available in the west, which isn’t the first time this topic has been brought up.

Atlus also asks if players would want new mainline entries in three series: Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey.

Any casual fan of Atlus could predict that it would be working on a new Persona game, so it’s not surprising to see the studio ask about that. The same goes for Shin Megami Tensei, but swap “casual fan” for someone that pays a little more attention to Atlus.

Etrian Odyssey might seem like more of a surprise, but Atlus actually already confirmed they are working on a new Etrian Odyssey game last year.

Following the release of a collection of the first three games on PC and Nintendo Switch, we know that new Etrian Odyssey is coming. The question remains to be when that is.
