How Are You Feeling About Fable After The Xbox Games Showcase?

There was a lot going on at the Xbox Showcase last Sunday including reveals for the likes of Gears of War: E-Day and DOOM: The Dark Ages, so to a degree, the re-reveal of Fable was perhaps a little bit overlooked in general.

But hey, we’ve got a release window now! Fable is officially expected to release on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S at some point in 2025, and for a game that we’ve been so hyped about for so long, that’s extremely good news.

The latest trailer (seen above) gave us our greatest look yet at what Fable is turning out to be, with a decent amount of (what appears to be) raw gameplay sprinkled in. At least from a visual standpoint, it’s a stunner so far.

Fable’s biggest challenge is trying to live up to the expectations of a franchise that dominated back in the Xbox 360 days though, and that’s where Playground Games really has their work cut out for them. Fable could be good, but unless it’s really great, you can already imagine the negative comparisons that are likely to crop up post-launch.
