Random: Xbox Drops ‘Feel The Burn’ Tagline On New Controller After Four Studio Closures

Xbox yesterday lifted the lid on its new Fire Vapor Special Edition Xbox Series X|S controller. Attached to the reveal was the tagline “feel the burn today” and unsurprisingly this didn’t go down very well after it announced four studio closures.

In an update, it seems Microsoft has now made a quick edit to the controller news, removing all evidence of tagline. It’s now been swapped to a line about the growing line of Vapor series Xbox controllers.

The studios impacted by Xbox’s latest round of shutdowns include the Hi-Fi RUSH and Ghostwire: Tokyo team at Tango Gameworks, Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Alpha Dog Games (Mighty Doom), and Roundhouse Studios – with this team joining ZeniMax Online Studios.
