Saber Interactive Indicates It’s Been Sold As References To Embracer Group Are Removed From Its Website
Saber Interactive has given a strong indication that the company has been sold after all references to Embracer Group have been removed from its official website.
Bloomberg reported last month that Saber Interactive was being purchased by a group of private investors in a deal worth up to $500 million. The company’s website has up until now displayed “an Embracer Group company” on its logo, but as spotted by Twitter user @lejoon, this message has been removed.

In addition, Saber Interactive’s bio has been adjusted to remove a reference to Embracer Group, so it now reads as follows:
Saber Interactive is a US-based developer and publisher of video games. Consisting of over 20 studios and more than 2,500 employees worldwide.
From the look of things it does appear that the rumoured sale has indeed gone through, although we’re still waiting for an official confirmation.
Embracer Group has been cutting hundreds of jobs over past few months as part of an ongoing restructuring program. In addition, developers including Volition and Free Radical were shuttered completely, and as of December it confirmed that over 1,300 jobs had been lost as a result of this initiative. The publisher also scrapped some 29 unannounced games between July – December 2023.
