Assassin’s Creed Infinity Will Reportedly Release A Major Title Every Two Years, With Shorter Live Service-Focused Experiences In Between
A new report from Insider Gaming claims to have been shown a demo of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and allegedly reveals more details about how Infinity will operate as a live service experience where the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise will seemingly exist.
Insider Gaming has consistently reported leaks and details that have proven to be true, so while the details in this report could change, the chance exists that they could be quite close to, if not the reality.
The report claims that in the demo footage seen, the player accesses the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Red from Infinity’s hub area picking up where they left off, almost immediately, or “within just a few seconds” the report says.
It also alleges details about how Infinity will operate, essentially describing a system where smaller, live service-focused experiences will be available for different protagonists in the series that fill in a two-year gap between major releases like Assassin’s Creed Red.
The report also alleges what we’ve heard before, that Assassin’s Creed Red is due out sometime in 2024. Which means that Infinity will be out potentially before the end of the year, and Ubisoft’s entire plan for the future of the series will be revealed.
It’ll be interesting to see how fans react the the reveal, something that could potentially go down as a deciding factor to the series continued success, or demise.
