Undisputed Boxing Development Is Now ‘Focused On Console,’ Confirms Steel City Interactive

Steel City Interactive boss Ash Habib has revealed during an interview with Insider-Gaming that the studio is now focused on bringing Undisputed Boxing to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Habib wasn’t able to provide a launch window for the console version(s) of the game, but revealed that the team has “a few milestones” in regards to the process of bringing the game to other platforms.

We’re fully focused on our console development. We’re going through that process right now in terms of getting us to that version one launch on consoles. Launching the game on Steam or PC platforms is a completely different ballgame when it comes to consoles, so we’re just navigating that path at the moment.

We’ve got a few milestones as far as our console process goes. What I don’t want to do is put a date on here and then something happens or there’s an issue that we’ve really got to look at and it sets us back.

What I would is the fact that we’ve said there’s no major updates coming in; the fact that we’ve said we’re now focusing on polish, bugs, and gameplay balancing. That in itself should give a reasonable idea that we’re not a million miles away.

Steel City Interactive previously confirmed in December 2022 that its Undisputed Boxing game would be hitting Sony’s PS5, although the studio has obviously had its hands full with the PC version during this time. In January last year, it was revealed that boxing legend Frank Bruno would be joining the game at launch.
