Sony Confirms God Of War TV Show Is Now In The Writing Process
Sony has revealed during its CES 2024 panel this week that writing is now in the process for the live-action TV adaptation of God of War.
Alongside God of War, which is being produced for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix working on an adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn, which is also now at the writing stage.
Sony Pictures Television President, Katharine Pope, had the following brief update for both projects during CES 2024:
We’re also delighted to have writing underway on two new IP-based projects God of War for Prime Video and Horizon Zero Dawn at Netflix. Those are coming along with a few other highly anticipated series, including the fourth season of The Boys, and the final season of Cobra Kai.

The God of War TV series was given the green light in December 2022, with Amazon’s Vernon Sanders promising the show will be “both incredibly true to the source material, and also compelling on its own.” Meanwhile, the Horizon Zero Dawn series will feature Aloy as one of the main characters and will be headed by Steve Blackburn.
