Bloober Team Announces Codename R In Partnership With Skybound Entertainment
Silent Hill 2 Remake developer Bloober Team has announced it has teamed up with Skybound Entertainment to work on a project currently known as Codename R, which is set for a formal reveal in 2025.
The IP itself is based on an existing Skybound franchise, although the press release doesn’t reveal anymore details on its identity. The company was co-founded by Robert Kirkman, who is the creator of The Walking Dead comic book series.
Bloober Team president, Piotr Babieno, commented:
This project is the next step in the 2nd party strategy, under which we cooperate with external partners providing our horror know-how. These are not titles that are intended to give us only financial profit, but are further steps in achieving our strategy by the end of 2027. We have known each other with our friends from Skybound for a long time and I am sure that it will be a successful cooperation.

Bloober Team is currently working on the Silent Hill 2 Remake for PS5 and PC, although the game has yet to attract a release date.
