Monster Hunter Now Zinogre Update Now Available Including Lance and Dual Blade Weapon Types – TouchArcade

Monster Hunter Now Zinogre Update Now Available Including Lance and Dual Blade Weapon Types – TouchArcade Niantic and Capcom just released the first major update for Monster Hunter Now (Free) on iOS and Android with the Fulminations in the Frost title update out now. This update brings in the two weapon types: Lance and Dual Blades, new monsters: Radobaan, Banbaro, Barioth, and Zinogre, and much more. Urgent Quests will be present as a part of a new Special Quest for the new monsters. After that Zinogre will only be included in Hunt-a-thons, which launch beginning December 15th. The update brings in the sleep element as well from Radobaan, new balance adjustments for other weapons and monsters, and a lot more. The biomes now have a snowy aesthetic and new music to celebrate the holiday winter season. There will also be new small monsters. Watch the Monster Hunter Now Fulminations of the Frost Zinogre update launch trailer below:

With this update, Hunt-a-thons have also been added. The first one begins on Decembr 15th until December 17th letting you hunt five monsters in succession. The large monsters here are stronger than usual so Niantic recommends hunting with others. I’m not sure if this will be balanced for solo play or not though. A new medal will be available here alongside exclusive quests. The first one recommends ice-element weapons to hunt Zinogre. You need to be HR 11 or higher for Hunt-a-thons. You will need to buy a Hunt-a-thon Ticket instead of waiting after you complete one Hunt-a-thon. The tickets cost 150 gems, but you can wait for 180 minutes for the next one according to Niantic.

If you are planning to start playing the game, I put together some (newly updated) tips and tricks for the game, details on the weapons, special skills, the current monsters list, my wishlist for future update monsters, and more. You can grab Monster Hunter Now on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. The in app purchases include different sets of gems and upgrades.
