David Hayter Teases Prospect Of Guns Of The Patriots In MGS Collection Vol. 2
Fresh from the recent release of Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 1, David Hayter – the original voice actor behind Solid and Naked Snake – has set tongues wagging again at the idea that further Metal Gear news may be on the horizon.
Posting on X, (formally known as Twitter) Hayter shared a photo of himself with Old Snake alongside the caption ‘’had a pretty cool meeting the other day…” which has prompted fans to up the alert level in terms of an upcoming announcement.
If the post does indeed bear fruit, it’s likely to relate to the appearance of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on the heavily rumoured Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 2, which is notable given that until now, the fourth mainline entry in the ‘Solid’ series has only ever appeared on PlayStation 3.
The image compounds a number of clues pointing to the inclusion of the illusive Guns of the Patriots, from data miners finding references to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid 5 within the Master Collection Vol. 1’s code, to placeholders for each title on Konami’s own website, to even Hayter himself mentioning that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 represented ‘’only the beginning.”
