Horizon: Call Of The Mountain Named Best VR Game For The 2023 Golden Joystick Awards, While Baldur’s Gate 3 Takes Home GOTY
It’s that time of year again, when we look back on the games that arrived and give out awards to the best of them, and the 2023 Golden Joystick Awards is the first of the season to kick things off.
For PlayStation Studios games, this year isn’t exactly a strong showing, with few nominations and fewer wins, even with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in the running, which surprisingly didn’t even appear in the category for best PlayStation game.
What did win however was Horizon: Call Of The Mountain for the year’s best VR game, and the PlayStation VR2 itself took home the award for best gaming hardware.
As far as what did win best PlayStation game, that honour went to Resident Evil 4 Remake, and unsurprisingly it was Baldur’s Gate 3 taking home the big, Game Of The Year prize.
Larian Studios even won the award for best studio, and other notable wins include Sea Of Stars for best indie game.
