Skull Island: Rise Of Kong Is New Contender For Worst Game Of 2023 As It’s Blasted ‘A Complete Scam’ On Social Media
If you thought The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was a bad game, then you might want to turn your attention to Skull Island: Rise of Kong, which has been cooking up a storm on social media for being ‘a complete scam.’
Users have been sharing footage of the game on Twitter, with one in particular garnering over 30,000 times and depicts what seems to be a cutscene with incomplete animation. The visuals on the whole appear to be pretty terrible, which obviously isn’t great considering the game costs £44.99/$49.99 on the PlayStation Store.
Beyond the low quality visuals, Skull Island: Rise of Kong’s combat leaves much to be desired, with one user sharing a battle sequence labelling it “low effort shovelware.” Another simply says “DO NOT BUY THE NEW KING KONG GAME. IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM.”

Skull Island: Rise of Kong was released earlier this month on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
