Tomb Raider II Fan Reimagines The 1997 Classic As A 3D Side-Scroller

Tomb Raider II is getting the remastered treatment next year as part of the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Trilogy, but if you’re curious as to what it would look like as a 3D side-scroller, you’re in luck!

The 1997 PSOne sequel has been remade by YouTuber Delca, who has faithfully recreated iconic locations such as Croft Manor, the Great Wall of China, and Venice to work as side-scrolling stages. As a result, Lara is only able to move forwards or backwards, but the visuals and sound effects remain true to the original game.

Fans will definitely want to check this out, so have a look at the Tomb Raider II: Side-Scrolling Edition in the video below.

Tomb Raider II was originally released for the PSOne in 1997 and saw Lara Croft on the hunt for the Dagger of Xian. Her adventure takes her across the Great Wall of China, a grand Opera House in Venice, an off-shore rig, a massive ship wreck, and the snowy mountain paths of Tibet. The game was more action-oriented than its predecessor, with Lara coming up against multiple human foes with an expanded arsenal of weapons.
