Delta Force Is Being Revived By Tencent, Full Reveal Coming During Gamescom ONL 2023

Delta Force is a first-person shooter series that lasted from the late 90’s to the end of the 00’s, when developer and creator NovaLogic went out of business.

Now, Tencent is picking up the pieces and will be brining the franchise back with a new release titled Delta Force, with a campaign that’ll reportedly be based on Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down.

The teaser trailer and what we know about so far shows that it’ll be a large-scale, free-to-play PvP shooter, and we’ll be able to learn more during Gamescom 2023’s Opening Night Live.

You can check out the teaser trailer for yourself below.

This time it’ll be developer TiMi Studio Group leading the charge on Delta Force, and in such a competitive shooter space it’ll be interesting to see how Delta Force fares.

In an interview with IGN, producer Shadow Guo teased that this new Delta Force will include “an immersive multiplayer battleground that could accommodate even larger-scale PvP than the previous 32-player limit.”

Having more players in each game sounds chaotic and fun, how that’s paced and how it plays out though will be the true test of whether or not it’s something players even want.

No one loves running around a massive map for two minutes just to get to where the action is. It’ll be interesting to see how Delta Force turns out as we learn more about it.
