Diablo IV Breaks Blizzard Quarterly Records By Hitting 10 Million Players In Its Launch Month

It’s been made clear that Diablo IV has been Blizzard’s biggest release, not only as its fastest selling title, but in the number of developers who made it all possible.

Now there’s another way to call Diablo IV Blizzard’s biggest game yet, because it broke Blizzard’s own quarterly records with 10 million players having “experienced” Diablo IV in its opening month.

That comes according to Activision Blizzard’s latest quarterly reports, where it was again reiterated that Diablo IV is Blizzard’s fastest selling title, and it’s even created a rise with previous Diablo titles, specifically Diablo Immortal.

Diablo IV was also responsible for Blizzard having a 160% revenue growth year-over-year, and specifically on PlayStation it was the number one PS5 game for both the US/Canada and the EU on the PlayStation Store.

All things considered, Blizzard looks like it is once again hitting its stride, just in time for the coming merger with Microsoft, a deal which we now know we could be talking about until October, as Microsoft and Activision have pushed back the deal’s deadline.
