2023 Showcase Was Xbox’s ‘Highest Rated’ And ‘Most Viewed’ Show Ever

Microsoft has announced today that the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 was the “highest rated” and “most viewed” show in Xbox history, racking up over 92 million views within seven days of the broadcast.

The 2023 edition of the Xbox Games Showcase also featured the highly anticipated Starfield Direct, and it led to the event receiving a 38% rise in viewership compared to the 2022 version.

“We’d like to thank all the teams involved, from the studios themselves, who worked tirelessly to bring their games to the show (many of them showing their projects off for the very first time), to the many, many people who worked behind the scenes to help make the show a success.”

In our Xbox Games Showcase poll here at Pure Xbox, the vast majority of PX users (45%) gave the event a superb ‘A’ rating this year, with many suggesting that it was one of the best Xbox events in recent memory.

We potentially haven’t got too long to wait until the next one, as Gamescom 2023 is right around the corner. Xbox says it will be bringing its “biggest ever booth” to the show in August, but we’re still waiting on more details about what exactly to expect in terms of Xbox’s “presence” – more details will apparently be revealed in the coming weeks.
