NBA 2K24 PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Cross-Play Confirmed, Release Date Set For September 8

2K has announced that the highly anticipated NBA 2K24 will feature Cross-Play for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners, which is a first for the franchise. Furthermore, the publisher confirmed a release date for the basketball title: September 8, 2023.

The official blurb on the game’s website reads:

Grab your friends and enjoy the ultimate basketball experience in NBA 2K24 thanks to crossplay between PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Compete with or against players around the world in dynamic co-op matches, thrilling online tournaments, or casual pick-up games.

NBA 2K24 will expand on the series’ formula with the addition of ProPLAY technology, with utilises actual footage from NBA games to ‘map unrivalled gameplay with compelling moves from the NBA season.’ This allows the developer to translate your favourite players’ signature moves into in-game animations allowing for the most authentic NBA experience yet.

As previously confirmed, the NBA 2K24 cover star will be the late Kobe Bryant, who will grace the front of the Black Mamba and Kobe Bryant Editions.
