Capcom Will Be Fixing Resident Evil 4 Remake’s Rain Issues With Its Day-One Patch

Resident Evil 4 Remake looks to be quite the incredible visual improvement over the original title, minus what it looks like when it rains, that is.

Many fans noticed in recent gameplay videos how the rain simply doesn’t look quite right, though thankfully Capcom has heard these concerns, and will be fixing the issue with a day-one patch.

Which means that when the actual game launches and is in your hands, it won’t be a problem, so long as you update it before you play.

“We’ve seen everyone’s reaction to the rain effects,” said producer Hirabayashi Yoshiaki, “and we are working on a day-one patch to make adjustments.”

It was recently revealed that an update was pushed to players who’d already pre-installed their digital copies in anticipation of launch, which was 4GB in size.

Perhaps that’s the patch that contains the fix for the rain, or maybe there will be another one on launch on top of that.

Either way, it’s just good to know that the issue won’t actually be there in the final game.
