Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 Live Support Extended Into Its Third Year As The Game Hits 12 Million Players

Focus Entertainment has announced that live support for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 has been extended for its third year, following the game surpassing the 12 million player milestone.
Speaking in a community post on the game’s official forums, the publisher confirmed that everything that didn’t make it into Space Marine 2’s second year of post-launch content will now carry over to Year 3. The big news, of course, is the fact the game has reached 12 million players.
First of all, we’re incredibly happy to announce that we’ve reached 12 MILLION players!!! A couple years ago, we had great hopes for this project. Today, it has surpassed even our wildest dreams. Thank you twelve million times over.
Space Marine 2’s live support has officially been extended into a third year, bringing even more free updates and DLC content. Lately, our updates have been very well received by the community, which really motivates us to keep up the momentum for the third year. Everything that didn’t make it into the updated Year 2 roadmap will now roll over into Year 3, even though we’re not ready to share more details just yet. Don’t worry, all content that has been postponed will remain free, as it was planned for Year 2.
In terms of the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 roadmap, Focus Entertainment confirmed that Patch 13 is scheduled to roll out in Q2 2026 and will include a new PvP mission, Siege Mode Rework, a new secondary weapon, 3 Heroic weapons, 6 Heroic cosmetics, new equipment and ordeals, a Practice Arena, and Wargear Update #1.
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in September 2024, and you can have a gander at our full review here.
