Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 In A ‘Playable State’ Hopefully It ‘Won’t Be Too Long Before We’re Able To Share Some Kind Of Update’

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 is progressing smoothly in terms of development and is already in a playable state, its director has said, with the development team hoping to to share an update of sorts with fans soon enough.
Speaking with Automaton, Naoki Hamaguchi, who has head up the previous Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, revealed that the third and final chapter in the remake project is at a stage where the team are “refining and build up the experience.”
Development of the third installment is progressing very smoothly, and we’re almost exactly on schedule with the milestones we set at the beginning of the project. The game is already in a playable state, and right now, we’re in the final push phase, refining and building up the experience. We’re at the stage where the quality improves day by day, and each time we play it, the scenery feels different, so it’s genuinely exciting. I think it won’t be too long before we’re able to share some kind of update with everyone.
As previously reported, Hamaguchi-san stated during the same interview that visual quality of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 won’t be compromised despite it being developed with multiple platforms. Recently, he also stated that the game is sticking with Unreal Engine 4 rather than making the jump to UE5, but noted that some modifications have been made. As for what’s next after FFVII Remake Part 3? Hamaguchi isn’t saying; it could be a new IP or something related to Final Fantasy at this point.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 has yet to attract a release date.
