Ubisoft Confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Still In Production

Following reports that Beyond Good & Evil 2 had survived the mass game cancellations at Ubisoft, the publisher has officially confirmed that the sequel is indeed still in development.
“Beyond Good & Evil 2 remains a priority for us in the context of our strategy centred around Open World Adventures,” a Ubisoft spokesperson has commented.
Ubisoft announced earlier this week that it had scrapped a total of six games including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake as part of a major company reshuffle. Furthermore, seven other titles had been delayed, one of which is believed to be the long-rumoured Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was initially announced back in 2008 but went dark for many years until resurfaced in its current incarnation back in 2017. Updates on the project have been steadily tricking in over the years, and in November last year Ubisoft was apparently still hiring for the sequel. Furthermore, Fawzi Mesmar took over as creative director in October 2024 following the passing of Emile Morel in July 2023.
Ubisoft has yet to announce when Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be released and we don’t even know what platform(s) it will be available for at this stage.
