YouTuber Thinks They’ve Found More Evidence Of Xbox Making A New Spyro Game

It’s been rumoured for almost two years now that developer Toys for Bob might be working on a new Spyro game, especially since the company entered into a formal agreement for Xbox to publish its next title.

Back in March of 2024, YouTuber ‘Canadian Guy Eh’ claimed that Spyro 4 was in development, and now their latest video mentions how a former senior concept artist at Activision was working on both “Call of Duty” and “Spyro” at some point between August 2022 and March 2024 (via LinkedIn).

Here’s how they sum it up in the video above:

“We have been waiting for official confirmation for years for a new Spyro 4. And a random LinkedIn profile just… seemingly low key confirmed that Toys for Bob’s newest project is a new Spyro game. Its simple; but effective!”

When Xbox entered into the agreement to publish Toys for Bob’s next game, it was mentioned at the time that the project was “very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit”. Canadian Guy Eh speculates that it could end up getting released in 2026, but we’re going to assume that might be a bit too ambitious.

Whatever the case may be, it does sound like Toys for Bob is working on a Spyro game, and we’d certainly be grateful for it! It’s been seven years since the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, so it’s time for the purple dragon to make a comeback.
