Taxi Chaos 2 Has Surprise Launched On Xbox Today, Inspired By SEGA’s Crazy Taxi Series

Taxi Chaos 2 sounds quite different to the original though, described as being “inspired by classic arcade taxi driving with a modern twist”. The main twist is that the city is now ruled by autonomous TaxiBots, and now “every shift is a race against traffic, time, and ruthless AI rivals that react to how you drive”.

Looking at the list of features, there’s a Story Mode featuring 12-minute shifts complete with objectives and unlockables, an Arcade Mode for “pure score chasing chaos”, various “combat and utility abilities” to take on the TaxiBots with, and an array of new “vehicles, abilities, and cosmetics” to earn as you play.

Is it any good? We’ll have to wait and see, but we’re always intrigued by fresh takes on the Crazy Taxi formula, especially considering SEGA has yet to deliver its planned reboot.
