Resident Evil Requiem Preorder Listing Seemingly Confirms Return Of Fan-Favourite Character

Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem has revealed that PlayStation Portugal has seemingly leaked the existence of a fan-favourite character in Resident Evil Requiem on the game’s Deluxe Edition preorder page.

While we already know that Grace will receive a preorder bonus costume, it is mentioned in the listing that an additional outfit will also be made available for none other than Leon S. Kennedy. Dusk Golem has long claimed that Leon will appearing Resident Evil Requiem as its second playable character, although Capcom is still keeping his inclusion in the game close to its chest for the time being. Dusk again doubled down on his assertion that Leon is in the game in a follow-up post.

Resident Evil Requiem is currently in development for PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and will release on February 27, 2026. The game introduces a brand new playable character, Grace Ashcroft, who is the daughter of Alyssa from Resident Evil Outbreak and an FBI agent tasked with investigating a series of brutal murders in a hotel. The plot takes place around 30 years after the destruction of Raccoon City in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and we’ll be revisiting the ruins of the city at some point in the game.

As for Leon, the character first appeared in 1998’s Resident Evil 2 before going on to star in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 6, as well as the remakes of 2 and 4. He’s also showed up in the CGI movies and was adapted for the big screen in Resident Evil Retribution and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City with varying degrees of success.
