Demon’s Souls PS5 Update Adds Power Saver Mode, Reportedly Runs At 30 FPS With Reduced Resolution

The PS5 version of Demon’s Souls has been patched to add support for a Power Saver mode, which runs the game at 30 FPS with a lower resolution.

The Power Save feature was implanted in a recent PS5 system software update, and it now appears that Demon’s Souls is taking advantage of the feature. There hasn’t been any patch notes released for the update, but activating the Power Save feature is easy enough. It’s simply case of heading to the PS5 Home Screen > Settings > Select System > Choose Power Saving > Power Save For Games > Turn on Power Save and then choose Demon’s Souls.

As reported on ResetEra, the Power Save feature now runs Demon’s Souls at a lower resolution and targets 30 FPS. The most interesting part is that this feature is to form part of the long-rumoured handheld system that Sony is working on to coincide with the release of the PS6.
