Battlefield 6 Preorders Reportedly Hit Over 1.5 Million On Steam Alone, 5 Million Sales Expected In First Week
Preorders for Battlefield 6 have already reached an estimated 1.7 million on Steam alone, according to Ampere, who also believes that around 22 million gamers participated in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta.
That’s per a report on TheGameBusiness, which reveals that Ampere also expects the upcoming military first-person shooter to sell five million units during it first week alone. Beyond that, another analyst firm, Zewzoo, estimates that the Battlefield 6 Open Beta peaked at 10.4 daily users, more than double that of the Battlefield 2024 Beta.

Battlefield Studios earlier this week announced details on the Season 1 roadmap for Battlefield 6, which will include a series of free content drops adding new maps, weapons and limited-time events. The first update is set to drop on October 28, just a few weeks after the game’s launch, and will be joined by the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Mode.
Battlefield 6 is ditching last-generation consoles like its predecessor to offer a visually striking and smooth gameplay experience, with 1440p/6 FPS for the game’s Fidelity Mode, while offering a Performance Mode that targets 90 FPS at a slightly reduced resolution of 1280p on the base PS5 alone. The PS5 Pro meanwhile can run Battlefield 6 at a native 4K resolution at 60 FPS in Fidelity Mode, while the Performance Mode can run up to 120 FPS at 1620p.
EA will publish Battlefield 6 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10, 2025.
