Rock Band 4 Is Getting Delisted This Weekend Along Some Of Its DLC

We’ve got some very bittersweet news to bring you today, as although Rock Band 4 is celebrating its 10th anniversary in just a few days’ time, it’s going to coincide with the game being delisted and some of its DLC suffering the same fate.

The anniversary is on October 6th, but a day earlier on October 5th, the digital versions of Rock Band 4 will be pulled from the Xbox and PlayStation stores due to licensing reasons – the license for the soundtrack only lasts for 10 years.

Here’s the confirmation of this (hit the “Read More” button):

Perhaps even more saddening is the fact that Rock Band 4’s DLC will start to get delisted from October 5th as well, although it doesn’t sound like all of the DLC will suddenly disappear. Instead, it’s suggested that songs will “come down as they hit the 10-year mark”, and keep in mind that some of the latest ones were only added a year-or-two ago.

Still, this is your warning if you want to grab Rock Band 4 or its DLC on the Xbox Store – it’s time to start thinking seriously about it! I’m going to be loading up my Xbox account with some funds in the next few days, grabbing all those tracks I neglected to buy in the past, and kicking back with my Riffmaster over the weekend. It’s the final countdown!
