Seven Xbox-Related Showcases To Look Out For At Tokyo Game Show 2025

Welcome to Tokyo Game Show week! It’s set to be a very busy few days of reveals, with multiple companies choosing to host showcases up until Sunday, and that includes the usual Xbox Tokyo Game Show broadcast as well.

It’s very difficult to find an overview of everything that’s happening this week, so we’ve picked out seven showcases from Tokyo Game Show 2025 that are set to feature Xbox-related reveals in some fashion.

There’s also a rumour that PlayStation might be announcing a State of Play event for this week very soon, so we’ll be keeping an eye on that too. Stay tuned!

Let’s take a look at what’s on the way this week:

Beyond The Strand (September 23 – AM)

Beyond the Strand is a special 10th anniversary livestream for Kojima Productions, with the company set to provide a “glimpse into future projects” during the event. There’s speculation that the Xbox project “OD” might appear here.

This showcase’s start time is 12am ET / 5am BST on September 23rd, so many of us will be waking up on Tuesday to see what was revealed. If we get any Xbox-related news out of this one, you’ll find it on Pure Xbox ASAP.

Annapurna Direct from Tokyo (September 23 – PM)

Annapurna will be returning with a showcase for Tokyo Game Show 2025 in which three new games will be highlighted from Yarn Owl, Iridium Studios and Marumittu Games. There’s a chance these games will also be coming to Xbox.

If you’re interested in watching the Annapurna Direct, it’ll be going live at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on September 23rd, which translates to the early morning on the 24th in the UK and Europe.

RGG Summit + Direct (September 23 – PM)

We’re going to be hearing from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG Studio) at Tokyo Game Show 2025 during this special SEGA showcase, and there’s a big rumour doing the rounds that Yakuza Kiwami 3 might be announced here.

For those who want to hear from the Yakuza, Judgment and Like a Dragon creators, you can tune into this event very late on September 23rd at 8pm PT / 11pm ET (and again, early morning in many other countries).

It doesn’t seem like Capcom has anything too crazy to tell us at Tokyo Game Show this year, but who knows?! At the very least, we’ll be getting updates on the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds, Pragmata and Street Fighter 6.

This one has a much more reasonable start time for us as well, taking place at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST on Wednesday, September 24th. If you’ll be busy at work, we’ll let you know on Pure Xbox if anything big was announced!

Indie Fan Fest (September 24 – PM)

This is an interesting one! The first ever Indie Fan Fest will be taking place at the Tokyo Game Show, and we know at least one included game is coming to Xbox (that being Winter Burrow) and expect at least a few more new reveals.

If you want to watch it, the start time is just a couple of hours after the Capcom event – the Indie Fan Fest begins at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST on September 24th.

Xbox at Tokyo Game Show 2025 (September 25 – AM)

THIS is the one! If you catch nothing else this week, you need to at least catch the Pure Xbox roundup for the Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2025, as we’re anticipating quite a significant event from the team at Microsoft.

Forza Horizon 6 is rumoured to be getting announced here, and we’re also hoping the ROG Xbox Ally pre-orders and price reveal are on the horizon. Beyond those, Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show events usually bring us plenty of brand-new Xbox Game Pass reveals, so this could end up being one of the best showcases of the year for Team Green!

Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2025 showcase begins at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am BST on Thursday, September 25th. If you’re too busy to watch it, you can catch up with our big Pure Xbox roundup immediately following its conclusion.
