ScootX Looks Seriously Cool, And It’s Quietly Releasing On Xbox Next Week
Tucked into today’s “games coming to Xbox next week” roundup is an awesome-looking scooter game known as ScootX, and it’s quietly releasing on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S next week.
ScootX is described as “the world’s first 100% physics-driven scooter simulation”, and it’s been in early access on Steam since July. Over there, it has a “Very Positive” rating based on 700 user impressions at the time of writing.
Here’s a look at a couple of positive reviews from ScootX’s Steam page:
NotReece on Steam: “If you’re looking for a chill game to vibe out to when you’re bored or just want to relax, ScootX is it. It’s a scooter game, but it’s way more fun than you’d expect. The controls feel smooth, the tricks are satisfying to pull off, and the maps give you plenty of space to mess around and just explore at your own pace. There’s no pressure—just you, your scooter, and the freedom to ride however you want. I’ve found myself coming back to it whenever I want to zone out and relax, and it never fails to put me in a good mood.”
GucciHubert on Steam: “I have played and own every notable scooter game on steam, this one is by far the best. The physics are awesome and the sounds are very crisp. I’ve ran into a few glitches but they were patched within a day or two, it seems like the devs are paying good attention and listening to players’ feedback. Highly recommend.”
It’s definitely not all positive on there, as some have pointed out issues with bugs, and others simply don’t enjoy the controls / overall gameplay. There seems to be a general consensus that it feels like an early access title as well.
Still, the majority of players are enjoying this one so far, and we’re hoping it’ll get a free trial when it lands on Xbox, as that’s usually the case when a title launches in an early access / Game Preview state. In any case, ScootX releases for Xbox on September 19th, 2025, and we’ll throw more details about the game along with some screenshots below.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about price, it’s currently £16.75 / $19.99 on PC – no word on Xbox yet.
“This is the first scooter game where everything—from the wheels to the rider’s head—is powered by physics. Trick buttons trigger animations, but all movement is driven by a real physics system underneath. Every grind, whip, and slam reacts the way it should. Load into a map and start riding. Find lines, try tricks, and session spots your own way.”
- 🛴 100% physics-driven movement—no fakes, no shortcuts
- 🧠 Every part of the rider and scooter reacts with physical accuracy
- 🛹 A mix of skateparks and street spots to explore
- 🌍 Mod.io integration for community maps and content
- 🎮 Focused on flow, experimentation, and progression through play
