Smash Bros. player controls three fighters at once using his feet in tournament event
Gamers never stop surprising us with how they manage to find new (and even weirder) ways to enjoy classic games. The latest example of this comes from this year’s Supernova event, a competitive Super Smash Bros. tournament series. One competition from the event caught our eye this year, and that’s the Smash 64 Combo Contest. One performance in particular impressed us, that being Huntsman’s ability to juggle three characters at once using his feet to play.
In the Combo Contest, players perform a series of combos using any combination of characters, items, or stages they wish. Judges award them points based on the style and duration of their combos. This year, a competitor known as Huntsman decided to show off his skills by controlling three characters at the same time – one with his hands, and the other two using separate N64 controllers with his feet. Believe it or not, Huntsman ended up getting a perfect score from the judges using this method, managing to pull off some extremely impressive combos.
Apparently, Huntsman used a similar technique to control two fighters simultaneously during a previous event, but this year he really took things to the next level. Click here to watch a video of the full tournament (Huntsman’s section beings at around 50:00), or watch a clip below to see just how expertly he utilizes his feet to play.
