Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2025 Guide – Life’s A Beach
It’s that time of the year again: Yep, Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire has returned for its annual summer festivities. The quest will be running from Wednesday, 13 August 2025, at 8:00 GMT to Tuesday, 26 August 2025, at 14:59 GMT. Please be aware that this is based on GMT/UTC, and you need to convert it to your local timezone.
The quest begins in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks, where you will find an NPC named Mayaru Moyare to start the questline. You will need to be at least level 30 to start the quest, though even for new players this should be achievable in the timeframe given for the event.
It’s A Beach Party!
Once you have finished talking to him, you will have to head to Costa Del Sol. While this location was already easy on the eyes, Square Enix has now added some new goodies specifically for this event. Once you arrive, the first thing you should do is to chat with Haermaga; he will lead you up the boat. Once up on the top, you will that a giant swimming pool has been added; you have some waterslides to go into the sea and some other cool relaxing things that you will often find at a resort.
Haermaga will give you a quest after speaking with him to find several NPCs on or nearby the boat. If you are having trouble, the locations are:
- X35 Y30.3 Hidelana
- X36 Y31.1 R’fhul Tia
- X38.4 Y30.7 Beaudefoin
- X38.9 Y29.5 Impassioned Guest
During this section you will have an outfit from P’obyano; this outfit can be clicked off, or if not completed in time, the outfit will be removed. If you lose the outfit for whatever reason, you can talk to the NPC again to reapply the effect. You do need the costume for this quest.
Guest Overboard!
After completing this step, head back to Haermaga; he will then notice a distressed guest in the water, and you will have to find them with a spyglass. This is a blonde catgirl that is very close to the grey rocks. Once spotted, a cutscene will play.
Once done with the quests, you will be given the outfit that you were wearing for the event to keep. The outfit supports two dye channels, giving several different ways to customise it. Still, even at the default colours, it’s one of the best outfits Final Fantasy XIV has offered in quite some time.
Overall, this is probably one of the best event quests that FFXIV has done in years, and the location has tons of fun activities for social events or interactions, so much that it’ll be a shame when it’s all done and dusted. The event reward is great too, as the costume is pretty solid. Still, it would have been neat if we got one of the rubber dinghies as either a fashion accessory or a possible mount in the future though!
