RUMOR: New mouthful mode abilities revealed for Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World

Nintendo keeps bringing the heavy-hitters for Switch 2. Donkey Kong Bananza was just a couple of weeks back, Drag x Drive is Aug. 14th, and then Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World drops on Aug. 28th. There’s no doubt Kirby fans are chomping at the bit to get their hands on that expansion, and today seems to have brought us a sneak peek of what to expect.

We already knew that in Star-Crossed World, we get a fresh story where Kirby must use his abilities, including the all-new Mouthful Modes, to clear a trail through uncharted territory. While Nintendo might reveal more of those new Mouthful Modes before launch, it appears some promotional materials have already spoiled at least a few bits of content.

The image above appears to be a download card for Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, and it clearly shows off some of the new Mouthful Modes that haven’t been revealed anywhere else. The one in the middle of the artwork is a spring-related Mouthful Mode, but the others depicted haven’t been showcased anywhere else. As to how we’ll use them and the extent of their abilities, we’ll have to hold out for more details!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World can be played in single-player and local co-op, and also offers improved performance (higher framerate and resolution) for the entire game.
