Nintendo shares board member approval ratings from 2025 Shareholders Meeting
Nintendo recently held its 85th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, during which shareholders questioned Nintendo about many of their current and future plans. Another aspect of these meetings sees the shareholders voting for the members of the board of directors. This year the election resulted in all of the old board members returning, alongside one new member.
We’ve now been able to look at the full breakdown of results of the shareholders’ voting, including the final approval ratings for each individual member. Below, you can see the total number of votes made for and against each member, along with the approval percentage.
Again, every previous member of the board was reelected, with most having an approval rating well over 90%. Chris Meledandri, CEO of animation studio Illumination, is the only member who seems to have taken significant approval hit, though he still retains his position. The new addition to the team this year is Kazuhiko Hachiya, who is currently the Director of the Art Media Center at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
