Perfect Dark Actor Calls On Fans To 'Speak Up' And Help It Survive

Around this time last year, the actor for Joanna Dark in the Perfect Dark reboot was revealed as Alix Wilton Regan, and she mentioned at the time how she was “crazy excited” to play the role in The Initiative’s debut title.

Of course, it’s now been cancelled this week, and she’s returned to social media to give her thoughts on the situation – initially sharing a post stating that it was “an honour to work with the talents at The Initiative”.

After that though, she responded to someone who suggested The Initiative could be “picked up” to continue Perfect Dark, asking fans to “speak up if you wanna see Perfect Dark survive”.

Is it going to happen? Almost certainly not, but who knows in this industry! Tango Gameworks seemed to be finished before Krafton revived the studio last year, so perhaps there’s a very slim chance Perfect Dark could return somehow.

Beyond this, as spotted by Eurogamer, actor Elias Toufexis also gave his thoughts on the situation, pointing out that he “had a good amount of days of acting in Perfect Dark that just got scrapped”, while also highlighting the “thousands” of potential dollars he could have made and “counted on” had the project made it to the finish line. He then noted that he’s just a freelance worker, and the situation is even worse for those who were actually employed.

Let’s see what happens with this, but we’re not counting on a revival for Perfect Dark anytime soon. To be honest, after this whole saga, who knows if the franchise will ever be rebooted – it’s now been 20 years since the latest entry.
