Netmarble’s Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has generated $1.1 million on mobile since its release last month.
After launching globally on May 21st, 2025, the latest GoT adaptation took 36 days to reach its first $1m, AppMagic data suggests.
Between Google Play and the App Store, week two was Kingsroad’s most lucrative at just $264,000 in gross player spending, but by week five spending was less than half that – at approximately $115,000. Weekly earnings have fallen for the last three consecutive weeks.
Spending is coming?
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a new RPG from Netmarble with the official license from the hit HBO and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, utilising the likeness of the Game of Thrones show’s cast. The title launched on mobile and PC almost exactly six years after the TV series ended on May 19th, 2019.
It’s been a slower journey to $1m than Zynga’s match-3 release Game of Thrones: Legends, which hit seven figures in 11 days last year. That title has accumulated $22.6m in gross player spending.
Meanwhile, Zynga’s 2019 game Game of Thrones: Slots Casino earned $44m in its first year and has since reached $359.2m. The title took 17 days to reach its first $1m, released just weeks after the HBO show ended.
However, not one of these titles that launched after GoT ended has bested Game of Thrones: Conquest. Warner Bros’ 2017 release surpassed $1m on mobile on its sixth day – six times faster than Kingsroad.
The strategy game has continued to evolve and release new content tying into HBO’s spinoff House of the Dragon, and surpassed $1 billion in lifetime mobile player spending in February 2025.
Now, Warner Bros has soft launched another strategy title in Game of Thrones: Dragonfire across Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, further tapping into this new House of the Dragon age.
