Abiotic Factor Brings Its Amazing Multiplayer Survival Game To Xbox Game Pass In July

We’ve got another new addition to July’s Xbox Game Pass lineup! It’s been announced that Abiotic Factor will be coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on July 22nd, and it’ll be launching into Xbox Game Pass at that time.

Abiotic Factor is a multiplayer survival game (or more specifically, “a survival crafting experience for 1-6 players”) that’s been on Steam in early access since May of last year, and it’s racked up an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating based on almost 30,000 user reviews. Here’s what a couple of them have to say about it:

Fentanyl Freddy on Steam: “I will never not recommend this game because it’s a clear love letter to Half-Life fans while being a unique spin on the game genre, and then turning into so much more with the story, while still hitting all the weird otherworldly feelings HL brought.”

Zanadra on Steam: “Unironically one of if not THE best survival crafting games in the last decade and 100% the best SCP survival game ever made. Insane replay-ability whether you are solo or co-op, you will definitely get your moneys worth out of Abiotic Factor in time investment alone.”

As mentioned in that one review, Abiotic Factor does seem to be heavily inspired by Half-Life, and that’s even down to the ’90s style visuals. It features a story that’s said to be excellent, “rich character progression”, the ability to craft elaborate weapons and tools, a vast library of traits, skills, perks and abilities, and a whole lot more.

This kinda sounds too good to be true, but apparently it’s not! We’ll get to find out for ourselves when Abiotic Factor launches in 1.0 form on July 22nd, arriving on Game Pass for Series X, Series S and hopefully PC and cloud too.

Abiotic Factor is a survival crafting experience for 1-6 players set in the depths of an underground research facility. Caught between paranormal containment failure, a military crusade, and chaos from a dozen realms, the world’s greatest minds must survive against the universe’s biggest threats.
