Century Games’ idle hit Kingshot has shot to success with over $100 million in gross player spending achieved in four months.
Since launching on February 24th, daily earnings have grown rapidly and continue to trend upwards, ultimately leading Kingshot to the $100m milestone in just 117 days.
Thus far, Kingshot has found its most lucrative audience in the US, with AppMagic estimates suggesting 41% of player spending has come from the country to date. South Korea is currently a faraway second at just 7% of global player spending, followed by Japan’s 6%.
The US has led spending since its release, remaining the biggest contributor each month.
These sums don’t include any revenue generated outside of player spending on the App Store or Google Play.
Following in snowy footsteps
Kingshot was developed by Chinese studio Century Games, best known for its highly lucrative strategy-survival game Whiteout Survival which has generated almost $3 billion on mobile since its 2022 release.
Kingshot follows suit as another mobile title blending 4X strategy and survival genres, though with a medieval setting rather than a glacial apocalypse. It also features gacha mechanics to keep players spending for a chance at new heroes.
June 2025 has proven Kingshot’s most lucrative month thus far, already generating $40.3m as of the 23rd. With a week still to go, the month has already outpaced May’s $37.7m.
It also more than doubled April’s $19.4m.
Kingshot’s ongoing rise has also led to a new daily revenue record of $2.4m on June 21st, more than the game earned over its first three weeks combined. By comparison, Whiteout Survival took eight months to start earning daily revenue on this scale. Though, its record high is now much greater at $10.4m.
While Kingshot’s total revenue remains a fraction of Whiteout Survival’s, in just four months it has already entered Century Games’ top 10 most-lucrative titles out of dozens of published games.
