Would You Like To See A New Type Of Forza Game In 2026?

Ever since the Forza Motorsport series delivered its first spin-off title with 2012’s Forza Horizon, the open-world side of the franchise has grown and grown – to the point where Horizon feels more important than Motorsport these days. There’s definitely more broad hype surrounding a brand-new Forza Horizon title anyway, so you can see why Microsoft would want to continue the series.

However, we got to this point because Xbox was daring enough to greenlight such a change in direction, and with 2023’s FM title falling a little flat, maybe now is the time to create a third Forza pillar? Who knows, it could even replace Motorsport if such a thing managed to get a foothold in the Xbox portfolio, which we reckon it could with the right vision.

We suppose the next question is, what vision would that need to be? We’ve seen Horizon Rally floated around a few times, but for our money FH does enough off-road shenanigans to make that feel somewhat redundant. You know what we’d like to see? Something like ‘Horizon World Tour’ where you visit major cities around the world competing in races and events before moving onto the next location; possibly in a more linear fashion. We just miss those fantastic courses from Project Gotham Racing, okay!
