MindsEye Is Currently 2025’s Worst-Rated Game Following Bug-Ridden Launch
Build A Rocket Boy‘s debut title, MindsEye, has officially been crowned the worst-rated game of 2025 so far on Meteoritic, with the game scoring just 43 — that’s ‘Generally Unfavourable.’
In case you haven’t been following our coverage of MindsEye, the game launched on June 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and suffered from a troubled launch as users reported numerous bugs and glitches. Build A Rocket Boy initially released a statement that it was ‘working around he clock‘ to improve the game’s performance, and a hot fix was released sooner after.

A few days later it emerged that Sony was offering refunds for the PS5 version of MindsEye from disgruntled fans, and Build A Rocket Boy revealed in a separate statement that it was ‘heartbroken‘ over the game’s buggy launch.
MindsEye take place in Redrock, a near-futuristic city built on the Unreal Engine 5 that promises to deliver state-of-the-art visuals wrapped around a compelling narrative. Players follow ex-soldier Jacob Diaz, who is plagued by memories from his mysterious MindsEye neural implant, while uncovering a tangled conspiracy web featuring rogue AI, corporate greed, and unchecked military.
