While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.

And while the Switch 2 launch might be busy lapping up attention right now, we still have another week’s collection of the most exciting new mobile games to dive into.

Trinity Trigger

Retro JRPG Trinity Trigger has delivered the latest dose of 90s-style adventure, dungeons and anime cutscenes to mobile.

Developer Three Rings originally introduced the fantasy world of Trinitia to Nintendo Switch gamers in 2022. Since then it’s gone cross-platform, with its latest expansion bringing the action to iOS and Android.

Crystal of Atlan

Nuverse’s MMO action RPG Crystal of Atlan has a “magicpunk” twist, throwing players into a world of magic and machinery where mastering new skills is a must. In classic RPG fashion, there are plenty of classes to choose from and each has over 20 skill combinations available, adding some diversity to the various battle modes.

LEGO Hill Climb Adventures+

Finnish dev Fingersoft partnered with The LEGO Group to release LEGO Hill Climb Adventures in May 2024. Just over a year later, this brick-based addition to the Hill Climb series has raced on over to Apple Arcade, with buildable gear, functional propellers and more included.

Helix Jump+

3D arcade game Helix Jump has been reimagined with new visuals, exclusive skins and no ads on Apple Arcade. Through the updates, Voodoo’s classic continues to see players lead a bouncy ball through helix towers, avoiding traps and smashing platforms along the way.

World of Peppa Pig

Netflix has launched a Peppa Pig-themed app called World of Peppa Pig, containing puzzles, minigames, sing-alongs and virtual colouring books.

With almost 15% of Netflix viewing being of the kids and family genre, it’s little wonder a game like this would arrive, targeted at those youngest Netflix viewers as the latest batch of episodes debut in the US.

Holo Hunt

ABIU Ltd has launched AR adventure Holo Hunt in early access. The studio’s first mobile game, this title gets players outside to hunt for virtual eggs in a world reshaped by the mysterious Nexus Convergence.

Angelshark: Sea Survival

Media and conservation not-for-profit On the Edge has released the mobile game Angelshark: Sea Survival in partnership with Amuzo Games to bring awareness to the challenges faced by the endangered angelshark.

The launch has come shortly before the 2025 UN Ocean Conference, commencing on June 9th in Nice, France.
