Grand Theft Auto VI Fans Speculate Over Who Voices Jason As Roger Craig Smith Denies He’s Involved
Following the release of the latest Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on Tuesday, fans have been eager to speculate who is behind the voice of Jason Duval, one of two protagonists in Rockstar Games’ upcoming crime behemoth.
While the jury’s still out on a firm answer, one person we can safely rule out is Roger Craig Smith, who took to social media to deny chatter he’s involved.
Smith, who has voiced many well-known gaming characters in his career including Chris Redfield and Ezio Auditore, posted on X, Nope. Not me. Just to clarify. #GTA6.” He then followed this up with the message, “LITERALLY attempting to clarify that it is NOT my voice in that trailer. Just to clarify my earlier clarification.”
While Smith is no longer a contender for Jason’s voice, fans are convinced that Gregory Connors is portraying the character, while Lucia is voiced by Manni L. Perez.
Rockstar Games announced last week that GTA VI is going to launch on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and confirmed some key details on the game’s cast, including Jason and Lucia. In addition, we also have a fresh batch of new screenshots to enjoy.
