Assassin’s Creed Shadows Receives Action-Heavy Cinematic Launch Trailer

Ubisoft has unsheathed a cinematic launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is set to finally emerge next week after numerous delays for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

The trailer, seen below, features plenty of moody voiceovers by protagonists Naoe and Yasuke, as well as some scenes that highlight each characters’ unique traits; Naoe sticks to the shadows to eliminate her targets, while Yasuke prefers to get up close and personal with his adversaries. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is due out on March 20, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Ubisoft recently confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will feature support for PS5 Pro, and includes three modes: Balanced, Fidelity, and Performance. Players will also have the chance to turn on one-shot assassinations via a menu option, ensuring you can instantly kill foes regardless of their health and your own abilities.

Trophy Hunters will be pleased to know that you can earn all the game’s rewards in a single playthrough, and in regards to a New Game Plus, Ubisoft has said that it is looking to possibly implement this feature based on user feedback.
