It’s-a-me! Classic Mario tracks head to Nintendo Music

Have you been listening to the range of tunes on Nintendo Music? It’s time to plug those headphones back in because a new soundtrack has joined the collection. The most recent soundtrack to join Nintendo’s own music-streaming app is none other than the classic SNES title Super Mario World.

If you played a Super Nintendo in the 1990s, this game needs no introduction. It’s one of the most beloved Mario platformers of all time, and the soundtrack is no exception. It couples upbeat tunes with a twinge of meloncholy to give a truly unique experience that hits that nostalgic spot just right.

The soundtrack features 49 tracks, from the title screen to Bowser’s boss fight – in three parts, no less. It runs for one hour and five minutes, which is a pretty perfect runtime in this writer’s opinion. Many tracks can, of course, be extended. So whether it’s the Underwater BGM or Vanilla Dome (Map Screen) that tickles your fancy, pick your fave and crank it up.

Since launching last October, the audio delights of the Nintendo Music app have steadily grown. We’ve seen a variety of games across generations of platforms, from the likes of Wave Race 64, F-Zero X, and Pokémon Legends Arceus to Donkey Country 2 and 3, Skyward Sword, and even Super Mario Kart.
