Terrifier: The ARTcade Game Is A Retro-Inspired Side-Scrolling Beat-‘Em-Up Coming To PS5 In 2025
Relevo and Selecta Play have pulled the wraps off a new side-scrolling retro beat-‘em-up titled Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, which is based on the Terrifier horror movie franchise. The game is set for release in 2025 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
Plucking inspiration from various beat-‘em-up titles of the 1980s and 1990s, Terrifier: The ARTcade Game is a blood-drenched brawler packed with dark humour and intense action, as players step into the oversized shoes of the Terrifier series’ Art the Clown, where your goal is simple: cause chaos on various movie sets that make up the game’s multiple locations.

Terrifer: The ARTcade Game employs pixel art and fluid animations to capture the essence of the films and is playable for up to four players in local cooperative mode. As Art the Clown, you’ll employ a variety of weapons to cause as much destruction as possible, from chainsaws to cleavers, reducing enemies to a bloody mess along the way.
Keeping in with the retro aesthetic, the Terrifier: The ARTcade Game utilises a chip tune soundtrack to accompany the over-the-top and grisly finishers used in combat, while players will have the option of picking from six different game modes to fit your style.
Terrifier: The ARTcade Game is due out in 2025 for PS5, PC, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S with a concrete yet to be announced.
